This week's menu

Welcome to the week at Quality Wines.

New this week is smoked eel with sorrel & almond tarator, festive & comforting ox cheek with cavolo nero, braised carrots and a salsa verde spiked with tarragon. To share, a monster tranch of turbot with the last of the Summer garnish: fennel, potato, olives & sun dried tomatoes. Cheaper than a Lumie lamp for these darker days, tastes significantly better too. Quince, kaymak & pistachio for dessert along with classic cannoli flavours of salted peanut praline, chocolate and, pistachio. Loosen those belts, sit back, drink something special, enjoy friends & good company.

Lunch pasta is maltagliati (badly cut) con (with) ceci (chickpeas) e (and) funghi (shrooms). It’s all Greek to me. Available lunchtime only, Tuesday to Saturday for £15 with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink.
