The weekend is here and with only one service left at Quality Wines this week our attention & appetite moves to next week’s menu.
To kick off: Puntarelle alla Romana. The bitter leaf dressed in a forceful anchovy & garlic sauce. Do as the Romans do, Forza Azzuri!
White asparagus’ return has been a welcome celebration to the change of temperature. Immersed in our vinaigrette for tarty imbibement, sadly the season does not last long….
Salame Rosa panino’s, Salcombe Bay scallops in Pastis butter & a rather decadent crab tagliatelle with butter, garlic & Sarawak pepper will be reappearing.
Whilst slow-roasted lamb shoulder will come with merguez sausages, potatoes, aioli & a crisp green salad. Something to share between 2 or more. All the best things are….
This week’s ‘Express Lunch’ is bucatini with smoked sardines, fennel, pine nuts & raisins. Available Tuesday all the way through to Saturday (yes an extra day!), at lunch, with a glass of vino, vermut, beer, soft, compliment for £15. As ever there will be vegetarian options available.
Finally a word or 16 for our new dessert. A single origin bean to bar 72% reserve Blue Mountain Jamaican organic Pump Street chocolate mousse tart. Got your breath back? Get ready to miss it when you get a slice!
