Welcome to the week at Quality Wines.
A return to an a la carte menu following our January set menus. This week includes: a black truffle sandwich, fried in clarified butter. Earthy, fruity & heady this one has been a favourite over the years. Oeufs mayonnaise with anchovies & lamb’s lettuce, rich, salty & decadent. Castelfranco, Tardivo & Treviso, no it’s not AC Milan’s 1980’s back 3 but the perfect accompaniment to Gorgonzola dolce & Tarocco oranges. Golazo! Salcombe Bay scallops are roasted with a Vadouvan butter, a French take on curry sauce from the Puducherry region of India. Homemade tagliatelle with a chicken liver ragu & 36 month Parmigiano Reggiano another favourite on the Curva Sud, you’ll will need a sweeper of focaccia for that sauce. Manzanilla pork belly coming with a punchy alioli rounds off the savories.
Our ‘Express Lunch’ pasta this week is a spinach infused tagliatelle with cream, basil & Parmesan. Served at lunch Tuesday to Friday, it is £15 with a glass, beer or soft.
