Inverting the Norman. Brimful of Pasta with a glass of wine.
Assassination attempts, worldwide I.T outages, planes grounded & banks impotent. Gareth’s Brave Boys. In a world of madness, wade in the inconsistent regularity of the Quality Wines newsletter. Welcome to the weekend.
Your menu next week, assuming the machines haven’t taken over will include the following sunshine revelry.
Classic Sicilian ‘agrodolce’ dish of caponata, the feel good hit of the Summer!
Across the water, battered by Mistral & Sirocco comes chopped salade Tunisienne. Think Nicoise with North African hit of pepper & harissa. Tuna, egg & potato all feature. From Tunis with Love.
Braised pork belly is coming a top Santorini fava, tomatoes, olives & oregano. And keeping it Greek, so Greek. Tomato gemista make a long awaited return. Served with tzatziki, think Telly Savalas’ head scooped out, filled with rice & baked. What more could you want?
The ‘Express Lunch’ will be paccheri alla norma. As ever £15 with a glass, beer or soft drink. Alternatively, invertedly, pertinently there is also agnolotti stuffed with melanzane, rolled & dressed in sugo, pine nuts & ricotta salata. Available at lunch and dinner, on the a la carte.
Looking forward to seeing you all over the weekend & next week.
Nick, Marcos & the Team.
