Pork Ribs, for your pleasure.

We’ve got our writing bonnets on early this week, e-quills e-inked, discombobulated but delighted to welcome you to Thursday & the Quality Wines newsletter.

What a weekend it was last, welcoming our dear friend Joké back to cook with Nick at QW on Sunday. Great to see lots of friendly faces as well as a some new ones too. Joké’s food is always comforting & spicy, with the best rice around, but ultimately incredibly flavourful & delicious. Thank you.

We very much look forward to welcoming Sertaç Dirik for the next installment of Quality Wines & Friends on Sunday the 27th of July. There are a very limited amounts of seats remaining so do get in touch ASAP if you would like to join us.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming, this week’s set lunch menu is a smorgasbord of the season’s bounty. To start: bull’s heart tomatoes are unmessed with, served with olive oil, salt & shallots. Fasolakia with barrel-aged feta to get you in a lathera and season 7 of our caponata. A hat-trick of Adriactic escapism, let your head run wild.

To follow: plump hake fillets are steamed and come atop borlotti beans with a punchy salsa verde. Penne with very cooked zucchini, enriched with butter & basil & covered in Parmesan and, pork ribs, given a Southern French rub of thyme & garlic and pot-roasted with lambs lettuce & a pro for lactic pommes puree, or mâche squared.

Desserts include a pistachio & lemon cake with a ridiculous Jersey cream, strawberry ice creams, bitter chocolate sorbets and your usual suite of cannoli.

2 course for £29 or all 3 for £35

At dinner in a meeting of the Med a salade Tunisienne of tuna, egg, spring onions, potatoes, peppers, olives & harissa makes a return to the menu and sits alongside a tagliolini with lobster, fennel & saffron amongst other goodness.

There are cherry clafoutis, verdant new season Intosso olives, South Moravian pet-nats & ouzo all available at your coolest (great AC) local restaurant.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Marcos, Nick & the Team.
