Welcome to the weekend and the Quality Wines newsletter.
A special edition this week to tell you about a very exciting wine dinner we are hosting on Monday the 10th of June. A celebration of the wines of JP Rietsch, our (and soon to be your) favourite Alsation winemaker. Hosted with excellent importer friends Wines Under the Bonnet. This is the first time JP has been to the UK and will be in attendance to answer your questions on fermentation, maceration and appellation.
Nick has put together a delectable looking menu to accompany the textural whites, aromatic skin wines and bright high-toned reds from recent vintages. Plus some older releases from the QW cellar...

Due to the nature of the menu, on this occasion we cannot accommodate any dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances. The set food menu is £50 per head.
As for next week the menu is chock full of new bits. Spanakorizo, a Greek dish of spinach, rice, spring onions and dill. This week’s asparagus are white and come with sorrel & an almond tarator. Brown crab mayo is topped with dressed white meat and roasted friggitelli peppers. Braised rabbit leg with beautiful brown borlotti beans, zucchini & salsa verde. Climactically an Arroz Calasparra populated with prawns, squid, mussels & allioli.
There is a £15 lunch risotto ‘al Pomodoro’, there is a strawberry & vanilla tart, there is a chocolate sorbet.
Its the Summer of Rice. Arroz, Ryzi, Riso & Declan.
